His songs are timeless. His music videos are a legacy. His dance-moves - classic.

His impact is forever.

To music lovers, he is everyone's idol; and always will be.

...of Birthdays and Fishing

Yep.. gonna lump three birthdays together + the fishing trip. First starting with someone very important to my family... Reylene 姐姐. Went to eat at Jack's Place. Bought her this Bits & Pieces necklace and did the cake-cutting at home.

And next, my mom's birthday at Sushi Tei!!

There are two things I like about this photo: the colours (Canon point-and-shoot is gooood) and... how freakin' delicious does this plate of sashimi look!??

The gorgeous Haagen Dazs cake that my dad bought. Great to look at, great to eat. It's more than 80 bucks (!??).

Mom and dad.

Reylene jie, that seems a little unglam....

That's a bit better. But a bit act-cute :X

It was really tough to cut the ice-cream cake even with that huggge knife.

And now.. Yee Wen's 21st! Theme: Nostalgia..
Displaying my expertise of tying balloons together...

Lumps of balloons in the picture courtesy of my tying.

The full Lamerz! Notice the phone on the chair? Zhiwei's on the phone. Yep, told you we're lame.

Ok lah, this is then the full Lamerz =p
Her theme was Nostalgia, so we were all decked in Black-and-white to represent Black-and-white photos! This was not the same as my birthday, where they wore black-and-white too, but they're outfit for my party was meant as Infernal Affairs the movie. And yup, Yw's in her BP uniform in case you didn't realise.

This... no comments.

Dinner time.

Cake-cutting time!

Aww.. so sweet...

Oh my gosh! Disastrous cake-cutting :X The yellow girly character in the cake seems to be screaming in shock and running away from the disaster area :XX lol

And finally.. My first fishing trip!! Location: Near Ubin island and a Kelong near Punggol.

Punggol Marina...

On the yacht, ready to move off.

Posing for the camera...

The boat leaving a trail of water behind.

No license? No worries =p

Relaxing on the deck..

Sights along the way...
The boat anchored and Uncle John is readying the equipment.

Casting first line.

My aunt caught something!

A puffer fish!

The boat was too rocky and some people were getting sea sick so we decided to go to the Kelong early. There it is in the distance..

There, we can see the 'parking lot'!

Trying to 'park' the yacht..
Seems like a tedious effort..

Uncle Vincent and Uncle John.

Uncle John's catch:
According to him, it is a Toad Frog. And believe it or not, it was really croaking.

Some photos we took on the Kelong while waiting for the fish to hook:
One of the fish farm's more expensive fishes..

This guy wants to buy the fish. And he wishes to catch it himself.

He caught it!

The guy posing with his catch...

...and the cruel fate that awaits it thereafter. Honestly I would rather not see how my food is prepared.

Pulling lobsters out of a secret hiding place.

Feeding the fishes..

Washing the mussels..

And my first-ever catch! A kim-gor in Teochew. Don't really know what's its name in English.
~

Yep, pardon the pun, but I think I'm hooked on fishing!

Next Tuesday is the last day of work. And I've received NTU WKWSCI orientation package which was hand-delivered to my house. Kinda looking forward to it although it's 5 full days of camp.

So many things to prepare for uni!

Take care, peeps!
