The Best Duets

Took half-day off today. Finally sent my duffel bag for Thailand - Exercise Battleking. Quite excited / dreaded about the overseas trip. Only looking forward to returning.. 'cos it'll be CNY!

Side Note: My maid (the very first one, where we are very close to) just called from Philippines. She's returning to work for us! Yesss.

Anyway, back to main topic:
Today dunno why, searched for some videos of old songs and guess what.. decided to compile a list of Best Duets. These are classics.. hope you like them =)

1) When You Believe - Whitney Houston & Mariah Carey

It's from the soundtrack of Prince of Egypt. And it was this song that made me like Mariah Carey =P But undeniably, it's one of the best; two vocal powerhouses singing their lungs out. Terrrrific.

2) Come What May - Ewan McGregor & Nicole Kidman

Who knew these two actors could sing - so well?? From a very good musical, Moulin Rouge, this is very melodic, very undying, very nice.

3) Someday We'll Know - Mandy Moore & Jonathan Foreman

Can anybody tell me where the heck is Mandy Moore now?? She is a singer whose voice I still like till today. This is from the movie A Walk to Remember, which I don't remember watching. But still, nice modern pop duet.

And now, for the real classicssss...

4) I Finally Found Someone - Babra Streisand & Bryan Adams

This has gotta be the most romantic duet ever. Period. From a very old movie, The Mirror Has Two Faces, which also stars Babra Streisand, this is a classic everyone should sing at their wedding =P

5) The Prayer - Celine Dion & Andrea Brocelli

A duet never sounded so angelic. The blind tenor featuring the sweet vocals of Celine. Perfect.

6) All I Ask of You - Cliff Richard & Sarah Brightman

From the original Broadway version of The Phantom of the Opera. Nothing can be said about this song. The best duet Ever.

Yups, I dunno why I'm featuring so many songs lately.

Tomorrow off! Dunno whether to watch Cloverfield or American Gangster. Shall see.

Take care, peeps!

Woah! I'm really digging the template/theme of this site. It's simple, yet effective.

A lot of times it's difficult to get that "perfect balance" between usability and visual appearance. I must say you have done a superb job with this. Also, the blog loads very quick for me on Opera. Exceptional Blog!
